Staci SullivanStaci Sullivan and her family take great pride in helping our local community. The Sullivan family has served for over sixty-five years, building deep ties to the central, east coast of Florida. These southern roots are the Sullivan’s guiding principle in service and sales. Staci’s grandparents, Joe & Violet Sullivan, established S&S Jewelers in town in 1955. The family has always worked hard to under promise and over deliver to clients.  This means much sacrifice and hard work as with any successful business. Staci grew up at the S&S Jewelers location where her parents, Doug & Isabel Sullivan, were devoted to their career in the family business. The late Doug Sullivan, Sr. was a very gifted jeweler with a steady hand and sharp eye for detail. He took pride in his work, much of which is still savored and appreciated today. Isabel was one of the first female GIA certified gemologists in the 1970’s. They both learned much from their parents. In an effort to live their own American Dream, Doug & Isabel founded Sullivan’s Jewelers at the Oaks in 1987. Staci SullivanThey were successful on this venture. Staci enjoyed helping out while she was in school. It was a match made in heaven as Staci fell in love with the jewelry sentiment, along with the client relationships. Staci had the opportunity to accompany her mom, Isabel, to the largest watch, clock, and jewelry show in Basal, Switzerland in 1998. That trip was the spring board that inspired Staci to dive deep into carrying on the family legacy. Isabel retired in 2001. Sullivan clients remained loyal as they sought Staci’s knowledgeable input with their jewelry. Staci’s love for the business is evident in her artistic design and customer interactions. Staci invites you to visit her at her newest location.   Formerly, she was in The Oaks Plaza and in a freestanding store on New Haven Avenue. Now in 2020, Staci has a new, refreshing vision. The 1916 Waverly Place location in Downtown Melbourne, FL allows Staci to carry on the loving mindset her grandparents instilled through the generations. At present, Mike and Angie, Doug’s siblings, serve clients at S&S Jewelers. The amazing support and strength the Sullivan family has devoted to Staci through her life is unprecedented. While the two stores are separate as business entities, the love through the Sullivan family has never wavered.

Staci Sullivan JewelersIsabel Sullivan – Boss Mom

As a child, I received a 16 mineral kit for Christmas. It was a gift I remember fondly. It might’ve been my trigger for my fascination with gemstones. Those 16 glorious examples of different mineral specimens all had different characteristics and stories. Years later, I married my high school sweetheart Doug Sullivan, Senior. I was pleasantly re-introduced to gemstones when I started working in the Sullivan family jewelry business. It was the early 1970’s when I started my jewelry career. Gemologists were rare and diamond grading standards were in their infancy. The time was right for immersing myself into studying gem materials. I learned to grade, identify, and evaluate diamonds and the kaleidoscope of colored gemstones. I received my Graduate Gemologist degree from The Gemological Institute of America in 1980.

Being in a profession you’re passionate about makes it feel more like play than work. The jewelry industry has given me many joy filled years of connecting with great clients to share life’s significant moments. I got to visit Belgium for a diamond buying trip, Switzerland with my daughter Staci for the worlds largest jewelry trade show, and Tucson Arizona for the annual colored stone Mecca in the desert. Fashions change, situations change, but quality never goes out of style. Its been a Sullivan family tradition for 3 generations. We look forward to serving you!

Staci Sullivan JewelersPaul Crichton – Custom Jewelry Designer and Jewelry Repairs

Paul became interested in gems and jewelry as a child…he developed his keen eye with quartz crystals that he polished in his Tumbler & creatively set into Pop tops for his favorite girls. In the 70’s, Paul began carving waxes and making molds in high school, when free forms were all the rage in the 80’s. Paul managed a jewelry store in Vero and apprenticed as a jeweler. The mall stores hired Paul for several decades when they did their repairs on site. Paul opened his own store for several years and continued working for the large chain stores. With a chance to move to Hawaii, Paul packed up his shop and headed out to live on the island…upon his return he was hired back by the mall jewelers as a subcontractor. Paul started working with Staci in 2014 when the mall chain stores started outsourcing their repairs. Paul and Staci enjoy working together to achieve the creative luck clients are going for. All has years of experience to support Staci in custom designs & jewelry repairs.

Staci Sullivan JewelersKayla Boles – Design Specialist

My family has known the Sullivan‘s for my entire life. My mom had her first job at S&S jewelers working with Staci’s family. Being a jewelry lover, my mom taught me about fine quality jewelry from a young age. We would visit the Sullivan‘s regularly. It has been fun to see the store grow and evolve. We had a tragic fire when I was 17 and Staci was able to salvage most of my mom‘s jewelry that had been caught in the blaze. When I think of the best career, it would include sharing God’s light and making people smile. These are two things we do regularly as we design and create sentimental jewelry for people. I just love working with Staci Sullivan. It’s a family tradition!

I first got into jewelry in 2016 when I started at a department store chain. I fell in love with it from there, the stories you hear and the people you meet make this job my favorite, and of course playing with all the sparkly things! Helping people find the right piece of jewelry whether it be for a loved one or themselves is the most enjoyable part for me. Seeing their excitement absolutely makes my day! While I have enjoyed working for department store chains, I was seeking somewhere to grow, somewhere to let my creativity shine. I prayed for a new opportunity and along came Staci!
